How to remove pages from a PDF online

  1. Open the tool and click Choose File or drag your PDF into the drop zone.
  2. Type the page numbers to delete in the input field — single pages, comma-separated lists, or hyphenated ranges (e.g., 1,3,7-10).
  3. Click Remove Pages and wait for the browser to rebuild the PDF.
  4. Download the trimmed file. Your original is untouched.

Remove pages vs. Extract pages vs. Split PDF

These three tools look similar but work in opposite directions. Remove Pages is a subtractive operation: you name what you want gone and the output contains everything else. Extract Pages is additive: you name what you want to keep and only those pages appear in the new file. Split PDF divides a document at boundaries you define — useful when a single file contains discrete sections that belong in separate documents. If you have a 30-page report and want to delete two blank scanner pages and a boilerplate cover, Remove Pages is the direct route. If you want only pages 8 through 14 for a colleague, Extract Pages is faster. If you want to cut a report into chapter files, use Split.

When to use Remove Pages

The most common reasons to delete specific pages before sharing a PDF: a flatbed scanner inserts blank pages between double-sided sheets and you need to clean them out; a contract has a confidential appendix that should not leave your organization; a downloaded form includes several pages of instructions you no longer need; or a merged PDF contains duplicate cover sheets from constituent files. In each case you know the page numbers you want gone — Remove Pages handles the job in one step without requiring any account or software installation.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose which pages to delete?

Type the page numbers you want removed into the input field. You can enter individual pages separated by commas (e.g., 3,7,12) or a range with a hyphen (e.g., 5-9), or mix both formats (e.g., 1,3,5-9,14). Pages not listed are kept exactly as they are in the output PDF.

Does this modify or delete my original file?

No. The tool processes your file entirely inside the browser. The original PDF on your device is never altered. The result is a separate file that you download after processing.

What is the difference between Remove Pages and Extract Pages?

Remove Pages deletes the pages you name and saves everything else into the new file. Extract Pages does the opposite: you name the pages you want to keep, and those pages become the new file. Use Remove when you know what to cut; use Extract when you know what to save.

Can I remove non-consecutive pages in one pass?

Yes. Enter any combination of individual pages and ranges separated by commas — for example, 2,5,10-14,20. The tool processes all of them in a single operation and produces one trimmed PDF.

Is my file sent to a server during processing?

No. VoxScan runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Your PDF is loaded into local memory, processed on your device, and the result is downloaded directly. Nothing is transmitted to any server at any point.
